The Sunni Endowment announces the first day of Eid al-Fitr

The Sunni Endowment announced on Tuesday that it will hold a ceremonial celebration on Saturday to see the crescent of Shawwal and set the first day of Eid al-Fitr.

“The celebration of Hilal Eid will be held on Saturday at Um Al-Qura Mosque to read the statement of the committee confirming or not confirming the vision of the legitimate crescent for the month of Shawwal 1438 from the Prophet’s migration,” the SAI said in a statement received by Sky Press.

The Islamic project to monitor Ahla confirmed that the moon can not be seen on June 24 naked eye in all Arab and Islamic countries, so it is expected that the Eid in most Arab and Islamic countries, which require the vision of the crescent eye naked, on Monday 26 June.
