A member of the foreign relations committee, Khalid al-Asadi, said Tuesday that the date of the visit of the Prime Minister, Haider Abadi to Saudi Arabia is not specified so far.
Al-Asadi told Al-Ghad Press that “according to information received from inside the Prime Minister’s Office that there is a visit to Prime Minister Haider Abadi to Saudi Arabia, but not on Wednesday or Thursday,” stressing that “the date of the final visit is not yet specified” .
He pointed out that “the topics to be put on the visit also did not specify and when the date of the visit will be announced details.”
The news agency quoted a source in Riyadh as saying Monday that Abadi’s talks with Saudi officials on Wednesday would focus on the repercussions of the crisis between Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain on the one hand and Qatar on the other. On the Iraqi and Syrian arenas, and the strengthening of bilateral relations through the establishment of a joint coordination council and securing the border between the two countries after the collapse of the Daash organization.
