Ruled out a close associate of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi MP Jassim Mohammed Jaafar, Monday, for the Abadi visit to Saudi Arabia over the next few days.

Jafar said for «News Journal», that “Abadi’s visit to Riyadh while experiencing the Gulf region, a severe crisis between Qatar and Saudi Arabia is ruled out, the fact that Iraq does not want to be a party to the crisis.”

“It is not in Iraq’s interest to be a party to the Gulf crisis, but the foreign minister’s visit Saudi Arabia to Baghdad, there was a recent visit to Riyadh al-Abadi, but it is not specified schedule.”

He noted that “Iraq may enter a party to the solution to the Gulf crisis in the event asked him to Kuwait and the Sultanate of Oman to intervene.”
