On the agreement signed with Russian company Rosneft, he said, “Our agreements with the Russian company Rosneft include the development of oil fields and the reconstruction of the economic infrastructure of the Kurdistan Region, and the purchase of Kurdistan oil and transfer to the refineries in Germany,” asserting that “Russian Rosneft will invest in the territory Kurdistan “.
The Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Abadi, has announced on Tuesday, that “a delegation from the Kurdistan Region headed by Nechirvan Barzani, will visit to the capital Baghdad, to discuss the agreements between the Kurdistan Regional Government and Russian company Rosneft.”
“Another delegation from Sulaymaniyah province will visit Baghdad and will be part of the agenda of this visit to discuss countering terrorism,” Abadi told a weekly press conference in Baghdad.
Adding that “negotiations should continue between Baghdad and the parties and political parties in the Kurdistan Region, to reach understandings and resolve outstanding issues.”
Abadi pointed to the importance of coordination between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Iraqi government, saying: “Without coordination between Erbil and Baghdad, we could not free the areas of the city of Mosul.”
