Kurdish Prime Minister Nechervan Barzani accused on Monday the Iraqi government of violating the military agreement signed with the Kurdistan Region especially after the presence of Iranian Militia in Iraq and Syria (IMIS) near Sinjar.
The military agreement was signed by the two sides before launching the operation to liberate Mosul from ISIS terrorists.
In a statement, Barrazani said that the presence of IMIS in Sinjar violates the agreement and destabilizes the district.
IMIS are composed of some 40 militias, which are mainly Shiite and backed by Iran. These militias were formed to fight against ISIS terrorists.
But they have been accused of human rights violations against Sunni civilians as well as sectarian bloodshed.
