Abadi takes over the duties of the Ministry of Finance Agency after the end of the mandate of Al-Issa

An official source revealed Thursday that Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi took over the duties of the Ministry of Finance and the agency after the end of the mandate of Abdul Razzaq al-Issa.

The source said in an interview with Alsumaria News, “The Prime Minister Haider Abadi ended the assignment of Abdul Razzaq al-Issa (Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research) to take over the functions of the Ministry of Finance Agency.”

The source, who asked not to be named, said that “Abadi took over the functions of the Minister of Finance and the Agency until the nomination of a new minister.”

On Wednesday (May 31, 2017), Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Abdul Razzaq al-Issa announced that Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi agreed to his request to exempt him from the Ministry of Finance, while he thanked Abadi for his approval.
