Iraq to resume negotiations with the International Monetary Fund next Wednesday in Amman

Iraq will resume its negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) next Wednesday in the Jordanian capital Amman to discuss its credit cooperation agreement signed in 2015, an official source said.

The source said that an Iraqi delegation headed by Finance Minister Abdul Razzaq al-Issa will resume talks Wednesday with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank on a credit cooperation agreement signed by Iraq in 2015 for a loan of 3 billion dollars at a rate of not more than 2%. Adding that the Iraqi delegation includes the Governor of the Central Bank Ali Alalak, the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Financial Affairs appearance of Saleh, and officials in the ministries of oil and finance and planning.
