The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (CSA) advanced staff held a new round of talks with the World Bank team to discuss the progress made by the Ministry in completing field searches of beneficiaries and preparations for the launch of the health and education grant program.
A spokesman for the Social Protection Authority, Ammar Menem, said in a statement received by “Al-Ghad Press” that “the new round of talks in the center of the ministry took place under the chairmanship of the Vice President of the Commission Aqeel Jasim Al-Moussawi. Field searches of beneficiaries, targeting of eligible segments using alternative sources of income and developing mechanisms in the light of the results of the treatment of inclusion and exclusion data. “
“The talks included the latest preparations for the launch of the cash grants program conditional on health and education,” Menem said. “The ministry gave a detailed explanation of the progress made in the development of the information technology system.”
“The World Bank team listened to a report on the services provided by the Women’s Protection Department in the ministry to the beneficiaries,” the spokesman said.
“The delegation of the World Bank took part in an inspection tour of the social protection departments, together with the Director of the Office of the Chairman of the Commission, the Director General of Information Technology Eng. Jamal Bilal and some department heads to view the Ministry’s procedures,” Menem said. The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has an agreement for technical and logistical support with the World Bank to assist in the implementation of the outputs of the Social Protection Act No. 11 of 2014.
