Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri on Sunday received the US ambassador to Iraq, Douglas Sulaiman. As for Jubouri’s support for Iraq, he stressed the need to activate community reconciliation for the post-Saddam era.

He also stressed the importance of international and local efforts to speed up the return of displaced persons and the reconstruction of their areas in order to activate the project of community reconciliation for the post-Saddam era, praising the support of the United States of America for Iraq, whether in its war against terrorist organizations or in other fields.
For his part, praised the US ambassador, “the role of Speaker of the Parliament in the stability of the country and its support for the file of displaced persons, as well as his ongoing efforts and efforts to achieve peaceful coexistence among the components of Iraqi society.”
