ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi abandoning his soldiers who are continuing to die for him in “territory that he has escaped from himself” is “a fool’s errand,” the international coalition to defeat ISIS has told Rudaw, given the $25 million reward for information that leads to the self-proclaimed caliph of the Islamic State.
The US-led international coalition believes Baghdadi is not in territories that ISIS continues to hold on to like parts of western Mosul and Raqqa.

“What we’ve known for a long time is he is hidden, while at the same time he has ordered his soldiers stand and fight and die in territory that he has escaped from himself,” Col. John Dorrian of the US-led international coalition to defeat ISIS told Rudaw.

“So this is a fool’s errand for his fighters and they’re being killed,” Dorrian added.

The Russian Foreign Ministry denied reports that Baghdadi had been arrested in Syria.

“We are not aware of the arrest of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, caliphate of the Islamic State, and have not received any information or clarification on this regard,” staff of the ministry’s media office told Rudaw on April 18.

The US State Department upped its reward to $25 million in December for information that leads to the killing or capturing of Baghdadi, who is also known as Abu Dua or Ibrahim Awwad Ibrahim Ali al-Badri. The State Department said those with information should contact their nearest US embassy or consulate, or Rewards for Justice.

Dorrian called this a “a rich reward for just doing the right thing.”

Recently the Kurdistan Region Security Council (KRSC), whose Counter Terrorism (CT) department oversees security and intelligence in Kurdistan and coordinates with the coalition in air strikes against ISIS, has confirmed strikes against and killings of a number of high-ranking ISIS officials.

Coalition strikes “seriously injured” ISIS’s chief of the Euphrates area on Saturday, Hassan Saoud Khalil Khalifa Al-Abouri, also known as Abu Talout, according to the KRSC. Al-Jabouri “was targeted in his house in the Rifaai neighborhood” of western Mosul, KRSC announced.

On the same day airstrikes killed Ali Raza Mahmoud, the head of ISIS’ education department in Tal Afar, according to the KRSC.

ISIS’ media chief, Khalid Hamza Al-Maamouri, was killed by coalition airstrikes on April 16 in Syria, the KRSC confirmed.

Abdulrahman Uzbeki was confirmed killed by the CT in Syria on April 12, adding that he was “responsible for group’s financial and logistical affairs, [including] movement of fighters.”

The other option for ISIS members is to surrender to Iraqi forces and face judges.

“A large number of ISIS militants have surrendered to the security forces and it is ongoing,” said Najim al-Jabouri, the Iraqi commander of the Nineveh Operations Command in early April.

“Upon the request of the surrendering militants, the general commander of the armed forces has guaranteed the militants that they will be tried just and their lives will be protected until the court has issued their verdicts per their crimes.”

“Hours and announce your sons in Mosul , the arrest of the criminal Abu Bakr al –Baghdadi” Astvzni this publication and I was browsing through Facebook quickly, do not be surprised if that happens, and do not be surprised if the killing of the offender at thehands of our heroes, and perhaps repeated in the killing of criminals Zarqawi and the son of Laden, it will be the end? I’ve actually killed but their approach of terrorism remained inplace, Al – Qaeda has spawned Daesh, and the fatwas of atonement did not stop, and the schools of the Saudi Wahhabi approach list , a young and old teach the doctrine ofatonement, without any Islamic or internationalist deterrent, the armies of Altkfferin graduate in schools and universities Wahhabi spread frightening numbers in the world, especially in poor countries. Was arrested on the criminal Saddam was tried and executed is a number of his ilk, but is over Saddam ‘s approach? The issue is not thecase of persons.
Yes it will affect the killing of the criminal Baghdadi or arrest him, weakening front Daesh, and will resolve the battle for the benefit of our victorious, and the surrender of many of his aides and followers approach the terrorist, but his approach takfiri will remain, and thethreat of the danger of the Shiite crescent will remain, and the culture of the so – called Islamic jihad against the Shiites infidels slave graves, Sunni apostates, and the Sufis outlaws the religion, and the infidels of other religions, will remain, as well as all donations to the Mujahideen, who are engaged in wars of genocide against the violators, after every prayer list, and will remain some of the Arabs directing you the same question: Are you aMuslim or Shiite ?! As long as there Salafi ideology built on the atonement of the other ,and the legalization of his blood and honor and property, and the destruction of theshrines of Imams will remain a key priority of the Wahhabi Salafi pillar, this approach anexplicit and unequivocal, and the killing of people and does not change the symbols of that
something.
I am surprised that the world who claims the war against terrorism , celebrates a lot ofkilling people, and they only play leaves are burned to receive other, and do not pay attention to correct the intellectual path, or the fight against the culture of atonement produced by Salafi institutions.
Is long one of the other exporters fatwas make amends and kill him? What are waiting for most of the leaders of Saudi terrorist organizations? Are some fatwas defused pro-terrorism? You are defused
fatwas destruction of the graves? Do Muslims atone fatwas defused from different sects and bees? Do you have clearly stated the sanctity of belonging to terrorist groups?
It depends not only on people, but need UN and Islamic resolutions explicit and clear to counter Wahhabi Salafist ideology, and invalidate all Fatawa calling for atonement, extremism and violence Islamic unanimously, and the imposition of UN controls / humanitarian on educational curricula in all countries  of the
world, particularly religious nature to stop every thought obscurantist systematic.

Rampaging wild boars kill 3 ISIS terrorists in Iraq

Rampaging wild boars kill 3 ISIS terrorists in Iraq
Three Islamic State terrorists have reportedly been killed by a stamped herd of wild boars during a failed attempt to set up an ambush in Northern Iraq.

According to Iraqi News, the trio of militants were killed on Sunday night after an altercation with the wild beasts in southern Kirkuk. Quoting local sources, The Times reports that the boars also injured a further five militants in the bitterly contested area.

Local Ubaid tribal chief and supervisor of anti-IS (Islamic State, formerly ISIS / ISIL) fighters, Sheikh Anwar al-Assi, told the paper the extremists were planning an ambush attack on local tribesmen who had formed anti-terrorist brigades. The tribesmen had fled to the mountains when IS captured the nearby town of Hawija three years ago.

Anwar al-Assi claims that at least eight terrorists had hidden in religious reeds near a local river known as the Zaghitoun, before they were set up by the angry animals.

“It is likely their movement disturbed a herd of wild pigs, which inhabit the area as well as the nearby cornfields. The area is weak with reeds, which are good for hiding in, “ he said.

Following the blunder, the terrorists allegedly “took revenge at the pigs,” according to Alsumaria News, however the exact method of repatriation was not clear.

The jihadists had reportedly executed 25 locales in the three days leading up to the boar attack.

“We know that a massacre took place in Hawija district through our sources. This will not be ISIS ‘last massacre against citizens, “ al-Assi said, adding that the true death toll was unknown as some people are still considered missing.

Hawija is a strategic location about 100 miles from Mosul and on the edge of the oil rich region of Kirkuk. The town is one of three strongholds in Iraq still under complete control of ISIS.

Local officials have repeatedly called on the Iraqi government to liberate IS-held regions in Kirkuk but the government have been focusing most of their efforts on driving the terrorist group out of the city of Mosul, their largest stronghold in the country.

US criticizes Turkey for striking Kurds in Iraq, Syria

On Tuesday, April 25, 2017, Turkish warplanes carried out airstrikes against suspected Kurdish rebel positions in northern Iraq and in northeastern Syria, the military said, in a bid to prevent militants from smuggling fighters and weapons into Turkey. – ASSOCIATED PRESS – TUESDAY, APRIL 25, 2017

WASHINGTON (AP) – The Trump administration severely criticized Turkey on Tuesday for attacking Kurdish militants in Syria and Iraq , accusing the US NATO ally of failing to coordinate the airstrikes with the American-led coalition against Islamic State militants.

The State Department and Pentagon both described the United States as “deeply concerned” by the strikes and said the objections were raised directly with the Turkish government. They warned that Turkey ‘s targeting of Kurdish groups could distract from the common campaign to defeat IS.

Syrian activists said the attack in Syria killed at least 18 members of the Syrian Kurdish militia known as the People’s Protection Units, a US ally against IS. Turkey sees it as a terrorist group because of its ties to Turkey ‘s outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK.

And the Turkish attack in Iraq killed five members of the Iraqi Kurdish militia known as the peshmerga, another partner in the anti-IS coalition.

“We are very concerned, deeply concerned, that Turkey conducted airstrikes earlier today in northern Syria as well as northern Iraq without proper coordination with either the United States or the broader global coalition to defeat ISIS,” State Department spokesman Mark Toner told reporters.

“These airstrikes were not approved by the coalition and led to the unfortunate loss of life of our partner forces in the fight against ISIS that includes members of the Kurdish peshmerga.”

Toner noted Iraq ‘s criticism of the attack on its soil and said any military action in that country “should respect Iraqi sovereignty.”

Coordination among all partners is vital “to ensure the safety of all coal personnel” in Iraq and Syria , he said.

Marine Maj. Adrian Rankine-Galloway, a Pentagon spokesman, said Turkey must prioritize the fight against IS.

“We recognize the threat the PKK poses to Turkey , but Turkey can not pursue that fight at the expense of our common fight against terrorists that threaten us all,” Rankine-Galloway said.

The US sees Syria ‘s Kurdish fighters as the most effective ground forces battling IS. Turkey says they’re an extension of the PKK, and that PKK fighters are finding sanctuaries in Iraq and Syria .

A Turkish military statement said the pre-dawn strikes hit targets on Sinjar Mountain in northern Iraq and a mountainous region in Syria . It said the operations were conducted to prevent infiltration of Kurdish rebels, weapons, ammunition and explosives from those areas into Turkey .

Iraq ‘s Foreign Ministry condemned the strikes as a “violation” of its sovereignty and called on the international community to put an end to such “interference” by Turkey .
