Announced that the Office of the Prime Minister, Haider al-Abadi, on Monday, that the project to provide citizens with electricity for 24 hours through smart meters proved to be successful.
Ebadi said the Office in a press release, “Economy News” received a copy of it, “Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi chaired an expanded meeting with officials at the Ministry of Electricity in the presence of specialists in the ministries of oil, finance and other sectors to discuss the obstacles to the production and distribution of electrical energy for the summer of 2017”.
“The meeting discussed the project to provide citizens with electricity for 24 hours through smart meters, which proved successful when applied in a number of areas of the capital, Baghdad, and the stages of completion of this project in the rest of the capital and provincial areas.”
He stressed that “there was a discussion of the annual both maintenance of gas units, thermal and gas supplier for gas units and the quantities of gas oil is currently equipped and the position of the amounts allocated for the purposes of both maintenance units production and rehabilitation position in addition to addressing the stalled units due to technical problems,” adding that “was issued during the meeting, a set of guidelines that contribute in addressing a number of problems in the electrical system to be reflected positively in the service of citizens. “
