The Iraqi National Business Council announced on Thursday that the Council of Ministers decided to exempt the taxpayers from the fines and benefits of their debts, pointing out that this was the efforts made by the Council in this regard.
The Council said in a statement that “the Iraqi National Business Council has focused with the rest of the organizations and unions to be a true voice for the private sector and the first to defend the rights and alleviate the suffering and raise the injustice and injustice suffered during the previous phase, Which would restore some of its rights. “
He added, “Yesterday we succeeded in issuing the decision of the Council of Ministers to exempt the taxpayers from the fines and benefits of their debts, which came on the proposal of the Council by his letter No. 278 on 18/10/2016 annex where the move was on the Ministry of Planning, which responded and raised the proposal by writing 23504 on 8 / 11/2016 to the Committee of Economic Affairs, which hosted the meeting in Zair and listened to his defense of this proposal and approved its recommendation at its meeting at the 16th meeting and raised the recommendation to the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers to be presented to the Council of Ministers with the letter of Economic Concility No. 645 on 8/12/2016 ” .
He explained that “the action was taken on the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Alallak, who did not spare any effort to adopt the proposal and defend it as we began with our letter 99 on 12/3/2017 to know the outcome of the recommendation of the Economic Affairs Committee and actually we answered the Secretary-General in his letter 9094 on 26/3/2017 On the agenda of the Council of Ministers. “
He noted that “days were not passed and the decision was issued yesterday,” in advance “thanks and gratitude for the wonderful government position for their stand with the private sector and Secretary-General Mahdi Al-Alaq and Minister of Planning and Chairman of the Committee on Economic Affairs Salman Jumaili.”
