Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi will leave for Washington to meet with US President Donald Trump at the weekend, a senior source said Thursday.
The source told “Al-Gharab Press” that “Prime Minister Haider Abadi will leave early next week to Washington.”
He added that “Abadi’s visit to Washington for the meeting with US President Donald Trump.”
The White House said last week that US President Donald Trump would meet Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi in March.
Informed sources told Al-Ghad Press on Monday that Prime Minister Haider Abadi will visit the United States and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan this month.
US President Donald Trump has lifted Iraq from the list of banned entry of its citizens to the United States temporarily, while the Iraqi-Saudi relations have seen a great convergence, after the visit of Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir Baghdad last month.
