Rouhani cancels his visit to Austria for security reasons


Khandan – The Office of the Austrian President Heinz Fischer, said that Iranian President Hassan Rowhani on Tuesday for a two-day visit to Austria and then indefinitely for security reasons after it was scheduled to reach this evening to Vienna.

A spokeswoman for the Office of the Austrian President that security reasons are not clear, adding that the visit was expected to be carried out by Rouhani to visit Baghdad before the Austrian directly also postponed for security reasons, according to the agency “Reuters”.

She said before six o’clock pm (1600 GMT), “we have been working (preparations) until five or five thirty in the evening.”

He was scheduled to hold meetings with a spiritual Fischer and other officials on Wednesday and Thursday.

Fischer issued a statement expressing regret at the postponement of the visit, saying, “It goes without saying of course that each country must take its decisions on security and on the security of the head of state.”
