Faisal assures Ebadi: the stability of Iraq will change the face of the region

The Saudi Foreign Minister, Saud al-Faisal, the Iraqi prime minister, Haider Abadi, Wednesday, that the stability of Iraq will change the “face of the region,” adding that he would visit Baghdad soon, as Abadi stressed the need to expedite the development of relations between the two countries.

A statement by the Office of Abadi seen by the network “toss News” that “the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi met, on Wednesday, the Saudi foreign minister, Saud al-Faisal, on the sidelines of the anti-terrorism conference held in the Belgian capital Brussels.”

He called al-Abadi, according to the statement, to “accelerate the development of relations between the two countries to serve the interests of the Iraqi and Saudi peoples and thereby helping to accelerate Daash defeat terrorism and extremism in the region.”

For his part, Al-Faisal said that “Iraq’s stability and success will change the face of the region and we are happy now that the achievements realized in Iraq and go to your government’s national”, stressing that it will “visit Iraq soon.”

In a related context, Abadi said in a speech in Brussels during the international coalition countries foreign ministers meeting against “terrorism”, that “the liberated areas and in the process of liberation from Daash need for urgent reconstruction campaign.”

Iraqi Prime Minister said that his country is working to amend the “Justice and Accountability Act, which refers to the de-Baathification”, revealing the progress with regard to the establishment of the National Guard in coordination with the United Nations to take advantage of the experiences of European countries.
