BAGHDAD / NINA / Oil Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi said the failure to approve a series of important laws led to obstruct the application of country’s decentralized system.

Abdul-Mahdi, in a speech during a workshop hosted by the Oil Ministry to coordinate with local governments, said: “The failure to approve a series of laws, including gas oil, national oil companies and the law of the provinces, which was rejected by the previous government, has contributed significantly to the non-application of the decentralized system in the country and intersects between the executive and legislative branches.”

He added that “the Constitution, the laws and legislations would remain dead peppers if they were not applied by officials.” / end
