Saudi Arabia to send a security delegation to Iraq soon

President Fuad Masum concluded Arabia visit yesterday, saying «re-open a new page in relations between Riyadh and Baghdad, and exceeded the previous phase», with the Iraqi Minister of Finance, Hoshyar Zebari, said that the security delegation Saudis will visit Iraq soon to see the security situation, in preparation for the reopening of the Saudi embassy in Baghdad.

Zebari said, by phone from London yesterday, that «Iraq has a sincere desire to normalize diplomatic and political relations with Saudi Arabia», pointing out that a meeting with King Abdullah and infallible was «very useful for the two countries, we have the desire to overcome the previous stage which was spasm and tension, and seek to build new relations on the basis of incorrect, and that there be mutual visits of officials of the two countries in the near future ».

He pointed to the reopening of the Saudi Embassy in Baghdad, said: «We have agreed with the Saudis to send a delegation from Riyadh to inspect the security situation, and then decide on the matter», stressing that the meetings with Saudi officials «was successful and touched to coordinate efforts in the fight against terrorism and the exchange of intelligence information, The war on extremism and organizing Daash in the region, and we discussed the various issues, but the main focus of the visit was to normalize relations between the two countries in such circumstances, and to emphasize that it is necessary to overcome the previous phase and to launch new phase ».
