Iraqi Prime Minister to visit Tehran Monday
Tehran – “Ray Day” – Omar Hawash:
The news agency quoted “Erna” the official Iraqi political source said Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, will visit Tehran next Monday at the head of the delegation, including ministers of oil, trade and economy.
The source said that the Iraqi Al-Abbadi will meet with senior Iranian officials and discuss with them developments in the region in addition to strengthening economic and trade relations between Tehran and Ankara.
The agency added that “this visit will have great importance due to Iran’s role in helping Iraq in its war against the terrorist organization Daash in recent months.”
Tehran welcomed commissioned Haider Abadi in August / August last for the formation of the Iraqi government, rather than the former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.
The Abadi met with Iranian President Hassan Rohani last week in New York on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the United Nations.
He revealed commanders in Iran earlier in Tehran for providing intelligence support and training elements of the Iraqi army and armed groups to address the organization “Islamic state” and send military advisers.
