BAGHDAD / NINA / Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi called on all the countries participating in the international coalition against terrorism in Iraq to respect Iraq’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and reiterated his rejection of any ground interference in Iraq.

Al-Abadi said in a press statement on the background of the Turkish parliament’s decision to send troops to Iraq, “We are at a time when we welcome the international efforts to fight terrorism, we renew our emphasis to refuse to intervention of any ground forces in Iraq.

He added: “We announced previously during our meetings with leaders of countries, we do not want ground forces in Iraq, as our security and popular mobilization are located in the battlefields, adding that the battle began to shift dramatically in favor of the Iraq and its people in order to crush and expel these terrorist organizations. ”

He reiterated that Iraq is calling on all states to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity and their air strikes be in coordination with the Iraqi government./ End
